Why have you chosen for Umbrosa?

I have chosen Umbrosa due to its remarkble functionality and quality combined with the sustainable aspects that the brand keeps in mind, by separating and recycliyng the waste in their facilities during and after the production process, providing replaceable individual pieces for each umbrella for life, therefore considerably exapanding the lifespan of the product, and re-using fabric from the umbrellas for other purposes, giving them a second life instead of creating more waste.

How important is it for you that an umbrella is sustainable?

It is very important, precisely because when we talk about an umbrella, it is heavily exposed to external agents such as rain, wind, humidity… and therefore they are damaged rather quickly and we often need to substitute umbrellas in a short period of time. That is why it is so key to be able to substitute pieces individually or to know that all parts of my Umbrosa can be perfecty separated and recycled. It is a big bonus for me in this type of product.

What was important when choosing your umbrella?

Aesthetic and design, and sustainability. It has been hard to find a brand like Umbrosa, which has both.

How did you become acquainted with this specific sustainable umbrella brand?

I found them online and was quickly captivated by the design and ethos.

What drew you to this particular sustainable umbrella brand?

Having a beautiful aesthetic combined with the feeling that they were ahead of times and ahead of the competition in terms of production, design, comfort.

In what ways does your choice of this umbrella align with your broader sustainability goals or values?

Most of the umbrellas I found were plastic or very poor quality, and I knew I would probably have to throw it away in one or two years, or they were highly overpriced for a better design, but getting a similar outcome. With Umbrosa, you know that you are investing in something that will be long lasting, easy to use, very practical, and with a beautiful design. And if any piece is damaged, you can easily substitute only that specific part. It was easy to assemble it, you can sense that all is made for the comfort of the user, and I love the fabric of my umbrella as well, visually it could be linen, and that is hard to find in an umbrella, often made out of different types of polyester. In this case, the feeling is completely different.
